Whilst anaemia may be diagnosed on routine blood work, it can also be a cause of emergency presentation to the clinic with signs of collapse and marked patient instability.
This half day course will cover the basics of anaemia management in practice, including:
- Clinical assessment of the anaemic patient
- Interpretation of the minimum database
- The essentials of blood smear preparation and evaluation in the workup of anaemia
- Management and monitoring of the common causes of anaemia in dogs and cats
