This course provides you with the knowledge on how to handle un-cooperative dogs, including both theoretical and practical training.
This is an intensive course, limited to small numbers of delegates with classroom work & practical sessions.
The sessions cover the theory of handling dogs, legal aspects of dog handling, health & safety, and basic animal first aid.The practical element will run alongside the theory delivery.
This course will give you skills and confidence for a career in dog handling - such as an animal warden or kennel staff.
Delegates will consider:

- Dog breeds, groups & characteristics
- Reasons for handling
- Canine behaviour
- Handling & restraint
- Canine health, diseases & parasites
- Canine first aid
Delegates will not handle 'high risk' animals in the practical session
