Dealing with anxious or aggressive cats and dogs during a veterinary visit is one of the most challenging experiences that staff can face in practice every day.

The way the situation is handled will determine whether this visit is a traumatic or dangerous experience - not only for the pet but also for their owner and for the staff - or if it will be the first step towards making the next visit less stressful for all concerned.  It may even determine if the pet is ever seen by the practice again.

This short course will explore the reasons why a cat or dog may become aggressive when seen at the practice as well as discussing simple strategies to avoid escalation; and thus, ensuring that the visit is pleasant for all.
