2020 spaces available. Book now Reptiles are now commonly presented for treatment in practice and owners have an increasing expectation for staff to be able to care for and treat their pets. One of the key steps for staff is understanding the species and their husbandry, as well as being able to handle and restrain them.

In combination with Ark Wildlife Park, this course will allow participants to learn about different species, their unique traits, their husbandry, and common conditions seen. Participants will then be able to learn to handle some of these species and common nursing and veterinary techniques encountered in practice.

In summary:

  • Learn about different species seen in practice and their unique traits and husbandry requirements
  • Learn about common conditions seen
  • Practice handling some of these species
  • Practice different nursing and veterinary techniques needed
