This is a full day course, covering the common immune mediated disorders which are encountered in general practice.
Within this session we will look at how these disorders arise, how we diagnose them, how we treat them and most importantly, how we can effectively nurse our patients back to health.
The disorders we will take a closer look at include:
- Immune mediated thrombocytopaenia
- Immune-mediated haemolytic anaemia
- Immune mediated polyarthritis
- Steroid responsive meningitis
We will also discuss specific nursing topics, including laboratory analysis of these patients and analgesia.
This course will be a series of lectures, along with several case studies which we can work through as a group.
