Emma Archer

DipAVN(Surg) RVN VTS (Anaesthesia/Analgesia)

Emma qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2001 and spent a further year in general practice before joining The Animal Health Trust in 2002 as a theatre nurse. She gained the Diploma in Advanced Nursing (Surgical) in 2006.

Emma is passionate about continuing education for nurses and organises and speaks at CPD day courses for local nurses at The Animal Health Trust and lectures at BSAVA congress and at local colleges, as well as writing for various nursing journals.

In 2008, Emma became an anaesthesia technician at The Animal Health Trust and in 2010 became a certified Veterinary Technician Specialist in Anaesthesia. She is also a member of the Academy of Veterinary Technician Anaesthetists (AVTA).

Since having her second child, Emma is a locum anaesthesia technician at The AHT.
