In 2007, inspired by her industry and wound care experience Georgie felt there was a need to bring the science of the latest advances in wound care to veterinary practice. With education a cornerstone of her philosophy she writes and presents independently to highlight the role of wound dressings and technologies in veterinary practice.
Georgie has gained a reputation for her knowledge of wound healing and medical devices in the veterinary field. She has written over 20 articles across small and large animal publications and has a special interest in developing the role of a specialist veterinary nurse to mirror that of tissue viability nursing in human healthcare. Georgie has presented in the UK and internationally on behalf of a large range of veterinary associations including BSAVA, BVNA, BEVA, WSAVA, NAVC, and SEVC. Georgie is a member of CITER, past secretary and council member of the VWHA and associate member of the BVNA.
