Lisa Telford

BSc (Hons) RVN

Lisa qualified in 2010 from Edinburgh Napier University. She was then a RVN in a general practice in West Lothian for 6 years where she was Head Nurse of the branch practice for 5 of these years. In 2016 Lisa moved to the Hospital for Small Animals at Edinburgh Vet School as a surgical nurse becoming Lead Surgical Ward Nurse in 2017. Recently she has become the Soft Tissue Surgery Dedicated Nurse in the Hospital.

Lisa has completed many years of mentoring veterinary nursing students and finds this very rewarding. Lisa completed the Delving Deeper into Wounds course in 2017 due to always having a passion for wound management and bandaging. She gets to see and assist in the treatment of many interesting and challenging wound management cases resulting in sometimes having to get creative when bandaging or applying dressings!

When not in work you will find Lisa in a muddy field competing my two dogs in agility!
