Rob Steer

Rob is passionate about endoscopy and has over 15 years’ experience working in the veterinary profession with 5 years’ experience prior to this in the medical sector. Throughout his career he has scoped hundreds of animals including tigers, dolphins, cats, dogs, horses, bats and even an elephant.

After working with a number of endoscope manufacturers to improve the functions and designs of veterinary endoscopes, Rob has gained extensive knowledge of all types of endoscopy equipment and their functions and has provided both veterinary and nurse training all over the world.

Over the years Rob has developed a number of techniques and protocols to significantly reduce the stress on the instrument and reduce equipment failure and downtime, ensure vets can perform a successful endoscopy and keep anaesthesia times to a minimum, he has never failed a pylorus and is often called in to provide support for some difficult and challenging cases, most recently lions requiring bronchoscopy.
